With bold fruit flavors and accents of sweet spice, ,  and  form the base of the classic Rhône Red Blend, while Carignan, Cinsault and Counoise often come into play. Though they originated from France’s southern Rhône Valley, with some creative interpretation, Rhône blends have also become popular in other countries. Somm Secret—Putting their own local spin on the Rhône Red Blend, those from Priorat often include Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. In California, it is not uncommon to see Petite Sirah make an appearance.

The allure for this wine begins with its eye-catching magenta hue. The nose is an entreating blend of fresh raspberries, Luxardo cherries and fennel seed, with background notes of baked pastry dough.  Bright and rich on the palate, it fills your mouth with flavors of strawberry-rhubarb pie, and baking spices.  The texture is silky and smooth and culminates in a clean crisp finish.
